OUR PRICES

We are surprisingly cheap!  We left the music industry professionally decades ago. We don’t do this for the money anymore so our fees are exceedingly modest.

Private Parties:               

£450 to £800

It depends upon who you are, where you are and how much you can afford.  We don’t say yes or no to bookings based upon on price - perish the thought!  We don’t do this for the money.  Tell us about your party; and if you want, tell us about you.  The chances are you’ll be amazed by our quote . . . . .  in a good way!

Pubs & Music Venues:

£250 to £1,000

We love playing small music pubs. Audiences go wild for us in pubs.   We know your margins are now even tighter post Brexit, pandemic and ‘Thick Lizzy’.  So £250 is fine.  If you’re a larger well known music venue then we simply ask you pay us what you pay your other acts.

Corporate Events:          

£1,000 to £2,000

Depending upon size of event and who you are.  If you’re a large corporation entertaining your valuable staff or clients we will charge you corporate rates.  If you’re a public sector organisation or a small start-up we’ll cut you a very good deal.

Weddings  

£500 to £1,000

It depends upon who you are, where you are, the size of your wedding and how much you can afford.  We don’t say yes or no to bookings based upon on price - perish the thought!  We don’t do we do this for the money.  We’ve played 2nd time around wedding parties in village halls and charged £400; and we’ve played lavish events at Jacobean country manor houses and charged £1,000.  Tell us about your wedding event; and if you want, tell us about you.  The chances are you’ll be amazed by our quote . . . . .  in a good way!

NO CHARGE - it would be our  honour to appear for you for FREE

Playing abroad:            

above pricing structures + £400 overnight surcharge + flights and 5 hotel rooms at cost

Public Liability

We have Public Liability Insurance to £1M

After booking Below the Border, we would literally be the last thing you need worry about when planning your party or event. 

Collectively we’ve been turning up at venues, large and small, setting up and performing, for over 250 years, covering more than 3,000 gigs between us - we’re very relaxed.  Just ask for what you need.

August 2023 - Private Garden Party - Hertfordshire

Below the Border delivered a fabulous set of 60s and 70s classics that saved our event from being a total washout, literally. They ended up playing in the corner of our kitchen whilst the rain poured down on the carefully prepared outside stage. They had us all transfixed and dancing within seconds despite the cramped conditions. Their good humour, enthusiasm and pure musicianship, combined with the appalling weather, made everyone watching feel like Glastonbury veterans by the end of the performance. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ahhhh Marcus thank you so much.  We were looking forward to playing on the stage you kindly built for us in your garden of your lovely home in Hertfordshire; but do you know what …  playing in your kitchen with all your guests dancing around the centre island under the under and pans was our favourite gig of the summer of 2023 bar far. Even though there was only room for one of our big PA speakers!  Someone managed to capture the atmosphere of your wonderful party on their phone and it features in our Summer ‘23 Show-Reel video.  Thank you to everyone who looked after us so well and we loved the fabulous cake!!!  Next time break out your Gibson 335 and get up and so one with us!

May 2023 - Community Centre Rochester - Coronation Celebration

So glad we booked Below the Border as part of our Coronation Celebrations. What a band! Five absolutely fantastic musicians playing music that we all know and love. Right from the very beginning people were up and dancing right up to the last encore. Have been asked to get them back so will be making another booking in 2024. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks Guys. Dec 2022 - Christmas Party, His Majesty’ Royal Artillery, London

Below the Border was the absolute perfect addition to our Christmas party. They were super easy to organise everything with and very understanding. On the night they were really slick setting up and didn’t disturb the pre party dinner at all. We are all big music fans and they were absolutely amazing. Fab song choices and as both a band and musicians were incredible. Below the Border were true professionals who I will be recommending to everyone. Thank you so much for a wonderful night, hope you have a wonderful Christmas and new year.

Thank you so much for your lovely review, Hillary.  It was a great Christmas party and we really enjoyed it.  We’ve never had party-goers invade the stage before insisting that we take a swing from their bottle of port whilst we are mid song!  Everybody was so nice to us and so many came up to us at the end to give us fabulous compliments.  (And we loved showing up at a gig, where to get in we had to show identification to a man at the main gate with a battered machine gun - brill!!).  But on top of everything else, it was our honour to play for people who put themselves in harms way to defend democracy in other countries.  And yes, we’d love to play for your regiment again next year.

The band came to play for my dad's 70th birthday. Really friendly guys, who played all the classics, and even welcomed my dad up to play the drums. Everyone had a fab night and would definitely book them again. Thank you Below The Border

September 2019 - Three Kings Pub

 I saw you in Twickenham at the Three Kings last night. We were walking down the High Street and heard the music and went in the pub. Great atmosphere as more and more people came in. I called my dad because your music is his era he’s always listening to Jimmy Hendrix and The Cream and he came down and he said you sound exactly like the records he was amazed. Bloody brilliant band. When are you round here again?

December 2019 - Chingford Cricket Club

From the Band 

We just wanted to thank Anita for booking us because we had an especially lovely night playing at your extremely cosy club. It was very different to our usual gigs to have a small audience who just sat and really listened to the music.  

They cheered at the end of each song and made us feel they really appreciated our playing. Also the people who came up to talk to us after we came off said such lovely things.  

But what touched us most, was a moment after we had packed up our gear and were saying goodbye to Anita, the folk still drinking at the bar gave us a round of applause as we left the building. 

Thank you all, and yes we promise to learn Fire and Water by Free for Simon for next time!

I booked the lads from Below the Border for my wife's 60th birthday party.  they were brilliant musicians one and all and kept everyone dancing until well after midnight.  We were AMAZED at how much we paid for this band. Incredible guitar playing and great singing. Boys, long may you keep on truckin' as we used to say. Thanks again.
